My favorite hobby/hobbies?
Definitely chess although to me it is rather more a sport than anything else.  Another hobby includes Tennis in which I play for my school's Tennis team and hit with friends.

My favorite singer/artist/song(s)?
Classical although I listen to others as well(such as Rock).

My favorite food?
Probably pizza although I like pasta too.

My favorite movie?
I don't really have a favorite movie but I do like some of the 007 movies.  I thought also The Butler and Monument Men were just as good.

One thing people don't know about me?
I actually started playing Tennis much earlier than when I started playing chess. I was about 3 1/2 yr. old when I picked up my first Tennis racquet. One of my deepest regrets though isn't not learning about chess until much later.

What have I learned from C.H.E.S.S I.S. L.I.F.E. and from playing chess?
There are a few things that I learned specifically from Chess is Life(especially from Coaches Jeff and Myles).  Self-confidence is one of them, as you need it both on and off the board if you want to succeed(especially when you start facing serious tournament players).  Another thing is the importance of socialization which is not only a necessity in life but also in chess(hence "Chess is Life"). Improvisation comes from inside the chess community, the more people involved the more experience and knowledge can be shared(especially a diverse group of varying strengths).  Discipline is another important element that I am trying to acquire.  You can only get better at something if you remain consistent where chess is no exception.  If you "stick with it" and pursue certain goals(therefore developing a plan) your ability at something like in chess will improve.

Sincerely, Alex
